This year will be the second year that I will be teaching at Thomas Jefferson Intermediate! I am super exicted for another school year with my amazing staff and students! I will be teaching 6th grade Reading and Social Studies!
I have been teaching informaly for 10 years. Most of my teaching experience comes from working with the students through after school Latchkey programs, Boys and Girls Club, Michal Phelps Learn to Swim Programs, Private Coaching and Swim lessons, and the Texas State Aquarium. Before working with BISD I was and still currently am a small business owner! My love of teaching comes from my mom and all the work that she does with the community. It was not until I worked for the Education department at the Texas State Aquarium that I truly realized how much I loved teaching!
I do not have any children, but I do have a cat his name is Guiness!
When I am not teaching in the classroom I am out on the water! I have 2 kayaks a.k.a “Dory” and “Stitch”, I usually take them out to the beach or the lake, I am currently making a list of different paddling trails here in South Texas that I am wanting to go explore. Then when it gets to cold to take the kayaks out I like to go hiking on the different trails in the State Parks, because exploring those trails in the summer its just to hot! If I am not outside playing, I go home to Corpus Christi and Spend time with my Mom and Grandma!
